Amsterdam!!

divendres, 28 de març del 2008

Hello people!! =)

Well, now we start the third and last term of 1st of Batxillerat. And I want to start to tell you my lasts holiday in Holland.

This last week we were on holiday like each year because in Spain we celebrate “Easter-Week”.
Every year, my family and I go on trip for “Easter-week”. Usually, for theses holiday we leave with another family, but this year it has come with us another; in total we were eleven persons.
All together we travelled with plain from Girona to Einthoven’s airport, in Holland. When we arrived there we took a bus which took us up to one city called Amsterdam.
We enjoyed five days there, but the end of each day everybody was tired, because everyday we had been walking a lot to visit the city.

Some things and places we visited in Holland are the following:

- The typical mills, canals, meadows and the first tulips of the spring.
- One Dutch cheese farm shop where we could see some steps to make the cheese.
- A traditional workshop where the craftsman made clogs of wood and where you also could buy them.
- Another traditional workshop in a town called Delft where some people made the really pottery painted with different colours.
- Some towns, for example: Volendam where we went with a boat, Rotterdam, Utrech, Marken and Delft; and one important city called La Haya.
- Museums of very famous pictures because they were painted by some well considered artists in this moment. Museums like “Van Gogh” and “Right museum”.
- And Amsterdam, of course.

In Amsterdam, we stay four nights in a hotel called “Tulip Inn”. It was small but very comfortable and central. Near of our hotel there was the principal street with a lot of shops, coffees (specially “Coffeeshops”) and restaurants (most of them were Argentines, Italians and Chinese).
In the majority of the streets of this city there was a local train, so you had to go carefully with him because it went very fast. Also, we had to go carefully with the bikes because it’s very common that the people ride his bike to go to work, to buy…

I loved Holland, it is very nice but the days that we were there were very cold; every day rained, snowed and was sunny. The weather changed very quickly, so everyday we had to take the umbrella.
In this country there is any mountain, but there is a lot of water because there it rains a lot and because Holland is below the level of the sea.

If you can visit this country someday, I recommend you go to it.

See you!!*
