End of cOurSe

divendres, 6 de juny del 2008

HelloOo!!

The end of course is near and summer too =) but is doesn’t seem, because the weather isn’t wormer, lots of days has to rained, has been cloudy…and now it is windy :( I hope that it changes soon.

Well, Today is Friday 7 of June and I only have to do one more examination to pass the course.

I already will have ended first of batxillerat like all my friends.

This school year, of my point of view, has happened faster than I thought.
I have spent very good times with my class and more friends who are in another.
At first, I was frightened to start the course because some people told us that batxillerat was difficult and we should to work very hard (it’s truuuuuuuuue xD); there were new subjects and all the teachers were new too… But one month later, I already was calmer. However, we had to begun to work and study very early because the exams started and the nervous too, so it’s true that batxillerat is hard and you must study a lot. In conclusion, if you begin to work and study since the first days your marks will be well.
In general, I’m happy with my notes because I thought that they will be worst, and NO… :)

The both classes wanted to go to trip somewhere like last year (Italy), but finally we haven’t gone anywhere at the end of the course… Maybe, we will decide to go some days around here, but we still don’t know.

Well, the exams are finishing, the classes are finishing, the course is finishing and also writing in the English blog is finishing… We are going to start to write here again next school year!!!

I hope that the summer will be funny and we can enjoy it :P

See yoOou**

The seasons

dimecres, 28 de maig del 2008

Today, I’ve decided to talk about the seasons of the year (I haven’t got more ideas to talk about...).
There are four seasons in the year, two of them are hotter than tow other and each one ocupes three months, approximately.

In winter the weather’s cold and wet because it rains a lot and it sometimes snows. [The people who don’t live in areas where it doesn’t snow seems to think that snowing it’s funny, but the people who see the snow everyday seems to thing that it’s boring. I am one of the persons who think that see to snow is funny and I would like live in a town of the mountain like Puigcerdà.] The sun doesn’t shine very much in winter and it’s often cloudy.
The weather begins to change in spring. It’s when the weather is more wormer because it’s sunnier. However, sometimes it’s wet because it rains often but it’s good for the nature. Also, it’s the time that the flowers grow up and it’s nice see lots types of colours in the countries.
Then, it arrives the hottest season, the summer. It’s hotter than spring and the sun usually shines every day. In this weather doesn’t usually rain, so it’s drier. We can enjoy this weather going to the beach (swim in the see or sunbathing), to the swimming pool, to parties, practice some sport out side, visit new places; travel with the family or with some friends…
But, three months later (approximately), we’re in a sad season again, the autumn. In my opinion, it’s the worst weather because, apart that we have to start the classes again, the days are cool and wet, the sky is often grey and cloudy and it’s often windy, too. I don’t like it; I think it’s boring and sad.

Each season has got her special thing, but the summer is my favourite and now we are near it =) I hope that this summer will be funny, hotter and lOooong!!! xD

See you tomorrow*

17* =)

hELLO everybody!!*

Last Monday (26 of May) has been my birthday and now I am 17 years old.

I’m not the only person who has his birthday on this week; because I know seven persons more that are 17, too.
I'm Gemini (22 of May to 21 of June) but I don’t agree with the characteristics of this horoscope because they don’t identify me.
On Monday, I celebrated my 17th birthday with my parents and my sister with a good dinner.
I don’t know if everywhere the people do the follow thing when it’s his birthday, but here, it’s traditional to wish one wish when you are blowing out the candles on the cake. I did that but I don’t know if it will come true xD.
After that, my family gave me some presents, and one of them it was a computer for my bedroom.
Soon, I am going to celebrate my birthday with my friends and we’re going to spent a good time like always ;)

PD1: Happy birthday to all people that one day of this week is his birthday!!! (k)
PD2: And thanks to all people who congratulates me!!!

Well, no more to say and I haven't got any time to tell you something either because I have to do homework and study…
The tow lasts weeks of this term are very stressful because ther are full of work and exams. I wish everybody pass them!!
LUCK =)

Cooking

dissabte, 24 de maig del 2008

How aRe yOuuu?
I hope very well ;)

Today, I’m going to tell you something about me.
Well, I like cooking, specifically to make the desserts but I don’t know so much.

If some day I have to prepare the lunch or the dinner to my family, I use to cook easy dishes like Italian pasta (macaroni, spaghettis …) or rice with a little bit of tuna, tomatoes, corn, egg, cheese, some olives etc., vegetables boiled, cheeps, salads, meat or fish and more, but not complicated dishes. [Now, it’s coming the season (summer) I have to cook the lunch very often, because my parents work and they can’t make it; so, my sister and I have to help to do the housework.]
Although, as I have told before, for me it’s better to make the desserts because I think it’s funnier. When I was a child, I already liked helping my grandmother to make some cakes and now, I make these and other cakes alone; I only need the recipe.
The dessert I make often is called brownie which is much known in England and more places of the world. The essential ingredients of this dessert is the chocolate and the walnut… it’s very good :P

Here, I leave brownie’s recipe if someone can make it or if he/she doesn’t know it, Ok?

Ingredients:
- 80g of fondant chocolate
- 125g of butter
- 2 eggs
- 150g of sugar
- 60g of flour
- 100g of walnuts

Preparation:
1. To melt the chocolate with the butter (to the bain-marie). Take off the recipient from the fire and to stop to cool.
2. To beat the eggs with the sugar until they are creamy and to add the molten chocolate.
3. To incorporate, little by little, the flour and the minced rudely walnuts, and to mix well.
4. It to lead in a rectangular tin (motlle) smeared with butter. To introduce it in the oven (200ºC), and to cook it during 20-25 minutes.
5. And to taste it!!!

I hope that somebody try to cook this dessert ;)

Enjoy it ;)

London :)

dijous, 8 de maig del 2008

Hi!!!!!

The last four public holidays (30th April and 1st, 2nd, 3rd May), I went on a trip with my family and six people more to London, in England.
We took off with the plane at 6 pm from Girona, but in general in every airport we have to be there tow ours before take off. So we had to gotten up very early (concretely at three in the morning) to arrive there on time.
When we arrived to our destination, it was one hour earlier than Spain; it was the first thing that I learned in England.

We spent 4 days in a hotel called Derby Hotel, but it wasn’t situating in a central part of London, so every day we had to token the underground ticket to visit the different parts of the city. In the underground the people went very quickly and stressed; if we hadn’t moved when we were between these people, it’s probably that some of them would have pushed or taken us.
The first time that we had to take the ticket and choose the underground we want, we were a little lost because here, in the town, we aren’t used to take the underground. But in the end, we were experts on the subject xD

We covered and visited a lot of places of the city, like: the famous Big Ben, the National Gallery, the Convent Garden, the British Museum, Tate Modem, Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Harrod’s, St. Jame’s Park, London Eye, Notting Hill… But every evening we were very tired because we had been walking all the day.

These days, I learned some new things; I knew the England system worked different, but I hadn’t lived in it before and I was surprised.
Now, I tell you some of them:

- It’s one country of UE, which doesn’t have the euros. It has the pound, one coin more expensive than the euros.
- The people drive to the left side of the road or the street; also to go up the stairs they go to the left side. A curious thing about that, when the people are on the mechanics stairs, who aren’t in a hurry wait also, on the left side and leave the right side free for the people who are in a hurry.
- There are a lot of little shops to buy some food or drink to take away, like: coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, cookies, hot dogs, burgers, and more.
- There, there is an hour less, for example: if here it’s nine o’clock, in England it’s eight o’clock.
- The bad weather, it rained every day when we were in London.
- There are lots of typical taxis and buses which I hadn’t seen before.
- And more…

London is a really big and nice city with a lot of things to see and visit, maybe it’s a few expensive, but if you don’t go to London many times, it’s OK ;)

I hope to go in England again and more times =)

Reader book

dimarts, 29 d’abril del 2008

HelLo =)

This third term, in English class we have had to do an oral test about one reader book (it has been chosen by students).

I chose the book called “A kiss Before Dying”, and I tell you something about it.
At first, with the title, the book seems to be a romantic novel, but really it isn’t.
It has three parts: the first is called DOROTHY, the second ELLEN and the last, MARION. (These three girls are sisters in the novel)
It has 86 pages and it is fairly easy to read, well, there are some parts more difficult than others but in general it’s easy and funny.

The summary:

The novel starts with two young students called Dorothy and Bud Corliss.
They were a couple who had a problem: She was pregnant and when she told to Bud her pregnancy, he tried that she had an abortion but nothing worked.
Late, she wanted to marry Bud Corliss and to be a family with the baby, but her boyfriend didn’t want to have a baby at that moment; he only wanted to marry Dorothy because she was a reach person. So he decided to kill her.

When Dorothy died, her sister called Ellen was very sad but suddenly, she met with a boy very kind. A few days later, they were going out.
After one year of Dorothy’s death, Ellen started to investigate how had died her sister because she didn’t believe that it had been a suicide like police said; she believed that her sister had been murdered.
When she was investigating, Ellen met two boys who tried to help her. But, one day which Ellen and one of these boys were near the truth, one boy appeared in the dark and he shot them with his gun.
This murder was Bud Corliss, the same person who murdered Dorothy and the actual Ellen’s boyfriend.

Bud Corliss wanted to get a reach girl of this family and he decided to find the older sister of Dorothy and Ellen. She was Marion.
When this girl and the bad boy had pans to marry, Gordon, the boy alive who also helped Ellen to find the truth, told to Marion’s father who was the real Bud Corliss. Then, Bud Corliss confessed the entire bad thing he had done in his live. Finally, he died a few seconds later.

Now, you can know why the names of these three sisters are the title of each novel’s part ;)

Bye…

kiss*

Saint George's Day

dimecres, 23 d’abril del 2008

Today it’s 23 of April, also called Saint George’s Day.
It represents the same act of Saint Valentine’s Day known in Spain as the lovers’ day, but in Catalonia it takes place in Saint George’s Day.

Here, we celebrate this popular date every year very happy.
It’s a special day for the lovers and it’s traditional to give a concrete detail to our love: the boys, men, fathers, husbands… of any age give one or more roses to his beloved; and the same about the girls, women, mothers, wives… but they give one book to read.
The rose and the book are the Saint George’s symbols which show the love between lovers.

To our High School, every year in this Day we do some activities: some students of our High drew pictures which represent Saint George’s Day, then they are put on the principal corridor’s wall to decorate and because everybody can see them; the volunteers students can present their redactions, poems, stories… all write by them. Later all these works have three winners who get a price.
The other activity that we do it’s a workshop: there is a list with some work-shop which each student chooses one of them and he does its.

I’ve done “Sweet kitchen” with some friends and two teachers who help us; they give us the recipe of two desserts and the ingredients of them and then we have cooked =)
It’s a very good idea to do these activities but we only have had two hours…

Happy Saint George’s Day!!!*
